Biography: April Latoya Long, age 35 passed away peacefully on April 1st, 2018 at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital, in the presence of her loving mother and sister. April, also known to many as, “Big A” was born April 25th, 1982 at Mount Sinai Hospital to Gloria Houck and Charles Long. She grew up here in Harlem, where she attended Manhattan Village Academy.
April had a beautiful soul, she was passionate, smart, funny, and had an amazing spirit. She loved life, having fun, going out, she loved to cook....and let's not forget she loved her some Michael Jackson....she would get down when his music played...she just knew in her head that was her husband....(laugh)...but most importantly, she loved and adored her children. She was a beautiful person inside and out and Lord knows you couldn't tell her she wasn't....(laugh)....she use to say she could be in dove commercials with how beautiful her skin was. She had a big heart and no matter what she was going through, she would always make time for you. April loved taking pictures and capturing memories that will now live with all of us forever.
April is survived by: her mother Gloria Houck; her sister, Ashley Long; her children, Andre Charles Long Barnes and Ameir Lare Eggleston Long; her uncle, Cornell Houck; her aunts, Renee and Venus Houck; her first cousins, Tanesha, Lisa, Little Billy, Anthony, Ivory, Corey, Shavon and Chris.....and so many more.
April you were loved so very much and will be missed dearly. May your beautiful soul rest in peace.
