Obituary
Martha Landers Holmes, 96, passed away May 11, 2023 at Montefiore Albert Einstein Hospital. She was born on April 30,1927 in Sharon, Georgia to the late Mamie Grammar. She was a longtime and faithful member of Emanuel AME Church. Martha was a loving aunt, great aunt and great-great aunt. She enjoyed being with her family and friends, Martha had a tremendous passion for helping people and family that needed her help. Her loving God spirit commanded love and respect of everyone who came into her presence and brought order to every situation.

Martha retired after many years of service with the Michael’s family Martha was preceded  in death by her mother Mamie, her loving husband James Holmes, her brother Fleming Robertson and sister Lucille Tyler. She is survived by: her stepson Elliot; her godson Kevin Standfield; her nieces: Catherlic Robertson-Stephens, Evonne Bryant, Veronica Robertson, Renee Huff Patricia Howell and Concetta Anderson; nephews: Darrell Heath and Bryant Tyler; nineteen great nieces and nephews, twenty-six grand nieces and nephews, and a host of family and friends.

No more pain and suffering, rest in peace. You’re loved now and forever. You will be missed.
