Obituary
I heard a voice out of Heaven, “Write this down: Blessed are the dead who have died in the Lord from now until the end.” Yes.” says the
Spirit, they are blessed indeed , for now they shall rest from all their toils and trials; for their good deeds follow them to “Heaven”. —Revelations 14:13

Barbara Bryant Robinson was born June 7th, 1946 in Brooklyn, NY. She entered into eternal rest on May 27th, 2023. She was the only child of the late Malvina Williams Bryant and Mr. Bryant. Barbara was educated in the New York public school system.
Later she met and married the late Harry Robinson and with this union three children were born. They made their home in Harlem and as Barbara cared for her family, she also continued as a faithful member of Mount Olivet Baptist Church. She was a devoted member of the Voices of Praise and served as their secretary for many years. She served on the Usher Board, and was a member of many of the clubs and other organizations, including the Vacation Bible School. Barbara also became a deaconess for the church. Barbara was a worker who loved God and her church and didn’t mind helping out in any capacity.

After her children grew up and moved out Barbara started a babysitting service mostly for the neighbor’s children. They all loved her and eventually she became known as “MaMa”. Barbara loved her children and the rest of the children in the neighborhood, she made them her family too. Now her work is done and she is peacefully resting in the arms of the Lord. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents Mr. and Mrs. Bryant, her husband Harry Robinson, her son Davis H. Robinson, two daughters Michele Robinson and Sharon Robinson.
Barbara leaves a legacy of love and memories with two daughters Jacqueline Robinson (Christopher) Small and JoAnn Robinson of New York, NY. Her grandchildren Brandi, Keith, Kenneth, Dexter, Jacquell, Leah, Anthony and Jamar. Her great grandchildren Elijah, Carlasia, Keinde, Khalil, Erin, Bria, Kiersten and Kace. One great great grandson Chance. There are many other relatives, friends and acquaintances left to relish her memories. She will be sorely missed by all those whose lives she touched.
