Lamont Yarborough was born on October 9, 1972, to Joyce Yvonne Yarborough and Cleveland Yarborough.  Lamont was raised in the Bronx, NY with his mother and sisters.  He had a special bond with his mother as her only son.  

Lamont was educated in New York City and North Carolina Public Schools.  He was a hard worker and for the last 20 years, he worked as an ambulette driver, transporting people to medical appointments.  Lamont loved sports including basketball, baseball, and football.  Duke University Basketball was his all-time favorite. He attended Duke basketball games.  He was affectionately known as “Uncle Duke” by his nieces and nephews. 

In 1997, Lamont started dating LaKisha Williams and they began their family life together with stepson Daquon Pitt.  They completed their family with the birth of their son Terrell Lamont Yarborough.  He and Lakisha married in 2004 and built a live together surround by family.  They moved to Long Island New York with sister-in-law Dawn Youngblood.   Lamont loved spending time with his sons, as well as his nieces and nephews.  He enjoyed playing basketball, watching sports on TV, attending wrestling matches and Yankee games.  He liked family vacations and road trips to visit extended family. 

Lamont gave a courageous fight for life but succumbed to death after a long illness on, May 30, 2023. 

Lamont is preceded in death by his beloved Mother Joyce Yvonne Yarborough, Mother and Father In-Law, Deborah and Frederick Johnson, Stepmother Jehoshabeath Yarborough, Sister In-Laws Venus Williams and Joy Johnson, Uncles Emmanuel and David Branch Lamont is survived by his loving wife Lakisha Yarborough; Sons Terrell and Daquon; Granddaughter Sani Rose; Father Cleveland Yarborough; Sisters Tracy, Kimberly, Reker, Devona, Dachawn, and Tamara; Brothers, Christopher and Darryl; Sisters-in-law, Dawn (Aaron), Jasmine, and Angelique; Aunt Deborah Branch; Nieces and Nephews (Samantha, Jermaine, Kimberly, Christina, Tasmeer, Jamaica, Duana, Shawna, Joy, Kiyan, Kharmari, Susan (Veah), Harmony, Kali, Emory, Triston, Camren, Lance, Zamyra, Jenaya, Jermaine Jr.); Goddaughters Shayna Hill, Kyria Lucas and Shamaya Fuller; Best Friends, Ebay, John and Steve and a host of extended family and friends.
