Biography: Valerie Walcott was born on November 13, 1952, in Bronx, New York and passed away on September 15, 2023, at the age of 70. Valerie was a true New Yorker who despite family relocations she vowed never to reside anywhere else.  Valerie was a very kind-hearted, loyal, and straightforward person who loved and cherished her family.

Valerie is survived by her daughter, Shaniece Walcott of San Francisco, CA; her ex-husband Steven Walcott of Fresno, CA, her sister, Lydia Clarkson of Atlanta, GA; her nieces, Yanette Clark of Jacksonville, FL, Emily Clarkson of Atlanta, GA, Crystal Kinard of Brooklyn, NY and Robyn Styles of Atlanta, GA; her nephews, John Kinard of Atlanta, GA, Mack Kinard of Brooklyn, NY, and Malcolm Kinard of Brooklyn, NY and Derrick Styles of Atlanta, GA; her great nephews Byron, Tarel and Justin, her great nieces Paris and Keasia, along with a host of other great and great-great nieces and nephews, and many cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Eady; her father, Henry "Sharkie" Williams; her brother, Micheal Clark; her sisters, Sandra Kinard and Pauline Styles; and her sister-cousin, Beverly "Kay" Eady.

Valerie attended The High School of Fashion Industry in New York and went on to work as an Administrative Assistant for the New York Telephone Company until her retirement at the age of 50. In her free time, she enjoyed immersing herself in books, engaging in political debates, and indulging in her love for theater and fashion.
