Biography: We come together to celebrate the life of a remarkable woman. Our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Mrs. Dicy Mae Ellerbee Bradley. Dicy was born on July 23, 1940, in Chesterfield County, South Carolina. Dicy was born to the late Samuel and Janette Ellerbee. On Saturday, September 9, 2023, Dicy was welcomed with open arms by many loved ones that preceded her.

Dicy spent her childhood years living in Cheraw South Carolina. She was a member Bethel Baptist Church in Cheraw, SC. She received her education at Linton School in Society Hill, SC. South Carolina is where she met married Wilson Bradley Sr.. Dicy and Wilson relocated in the 60’s to New York City with their five children. Once in New York, Dicy worked at Partners in Care until her retirement. She provided care and support to her patients and was great at it.

Over the course of her life, Dicy remained a force to be reckoned with. She marched to the sound of her own drum. Anyone who knew Dicy knew she said what she said, and she wasn’t going to say it no more. If Dicy dreamed of fish, you best to believe someone was pregnant. We were blessed to learn many valuable lessons from Dicy during her 83 years. Dicy had many passions such as: listening to 1010 wins on the radio, playing lotto, watching Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune and reading her newspaper and the enquirer paper. She loved fiercely and deeply, and we take comfort in knowing that Dicy is now at peace surrounded by light.
