Biography:

Our Dad William Lewis Adams was born in Birmingham Alabama on June 19, 1938 to parents Creola Elizabeth Lewis and Charlie M Lewis. He had three sisters and one brother their names are: Marilyn of Bradenton Florida; Dr. Flora Lewis Giles who is now married to Sherman of Hoover Alabama; Dora Kyles whom was married to John Kyles (deceased); and  his only brother (and my favorite uncle) Cornell Adams who is also deceased.

William was married to a beautiful woman by the name of Mattie Elizabeth Longmire, Adams. They had four sons: William Adams Jr. (whom we called Bill and is also deceased) Jessie Darnell Adams, Anthony Lamark Adams and Barry Kenneth Adams. He was also the uncle to his nieces and nephews their names are: Celay M. Kyles, Darnell Kyles, Lesley Adams, Sherman Giles Jr. and Michael Giles.  He was also a loving grandfather to his grand kids: William Gregory Adams, Melody Renee Allen, Octavia Adams, Tamara Adams and Toni Adams. He also had great-grand kids: William Kase Adams, Ke’lynn Denise Walker and Michael Roy Adams.

William graduated from the Birmingham Ullman high school. Soon after that he met our mother, a beautiful woman, and got married and had two sons William and Jessie. William left Birmingham to find work in New York City where he worked at a meat packing house called Plymouth Rock.

From there he found work with the Conrail Railroad which is now called the Metro-North Commuter Railroad where he assisted his two sons Bill and Jessie gain employment there before he retired.  He was a hard working who taught us the how to be a man the responsibilities of being a man.
