Biography:

Walter was born on April 14, 1938 in St. Charles. He was the son of Jesse Hudson and Catherine Howard Hudson.

He was educated in the public schools of South Carolina until his family migrated to New York. He graduated from Chelsea High School. He liked working in the carpentry class.

After graduation, he married his wife Clara. Three children were born from this union: Walter Jr., Phyllis and Kenneth.  He also helped raise his granddaughter, Tishia and his grandson Marquis.

Walter worked at several jobs but he really liked working at Rockefeller University and the Chrysler Building. His greatest achievement was accepting the Lord Jesus into his life. He loved watching television, especially baseball (NY Yankees), basketball and his favorite, wrestling. He enjoyed spending time with his family.

He is preceded to the grave by his son, Kenneth and his brother Bennie.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his loving wife, Clara; two children: Walter Jr. and Phyllis; six grandchildren: Tishia Terell, Marquis, Avery, Tamia and David; eight great-grands: Khalil, Kwaevon, Raylynn, Bella, Premier, Razhaun, Uriah and Kennady; one great-great grand, Kaiden; sister, Ida Guzman of the Bronx, New York; one brother, Roger Hudson (Beverly); daughter-in-law, Robin Hudson; and a host of relatives and friends.
