Shirley Fudge

02-02-1954 - 02-02-2024

Biography:

Shirley Fudge was born to Paul and Cora Jones Bryant who both preceded her in death. Shirley was born and raised in Donaldsonville, Georgia, where she attended William Bryant High School. After graduating, she moved to Quincy, Florida where she worked with her grandfather in his cleaner's business. Shirley met Jo Nathan Fudge while working at the cleaners. After a courtship, they got married and from this union she birthed her first son, Craig Fudge.

After some time, Shirley moved back to New York wanting to be closer to her family shortly following her divorce. She found love again and from that relationship, her second son Eric Milton was born.

Shirley was a very caring mother to her two boys and would often bring them to Sunday services at Goodwill Baptist Church. She would sit quietly and observe the world with love. Her boys were her universe. She was soft spoken, loved puzzle books, watching game shows, black and white westerns, soap operas and was a true Yankee fan. She worked as a home health aide until she retired.

Shirley is preceded in death by: her two sons, Craig Fudge and Eric Milton. Her parents Cora Jones and Paul Bryant and her two nieces Karen Hall Clayton and Renay Morris.

Shirley leaves to mourn her six siblings Almeta Clark (Osafa), Paul Bryant (Charlene), Paulina Bryant, Linda Dunn (Robert), Charles Bryant and Beverleen Jones. She also leaves her two Granddaughters Nia Fudge and Savannah Fudge, her two Grandsons Kyreek Milton and Kenyon Milton, and many nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends. We will miss her loud silence, omniscient views, selective smiles and her cooking.
