Biography:

Sis. Beatrice Combs was born in 1931 at Harlem Hospital in New York City. She was one of eight children. She is preceded in death by: one sister, Mrs. Abertina Newell. Her daughter-in-love, niece Veronica Trott-Jones; nephews: Omar, Rockeem, Demetrius and Darnett; her twin sister, Harriett; grandchildren, a whole host of nephews, nieces and cousins. Sis. Bea was also cared for by her cousin Sonia.

Sis. Bea or “Aunt Bebe” as she was affectionately called, lived to serve others. Her home was called the Combs Hotel, where all were welcome. There were times there would be over thirty people in her house from the Gospel Spreading Church on Thanksgiving Day fellowshipping with her while some were screaming at the football game. If you needed cleaning or painting done in your home, Sis. Bea was  the one to call.

Sister, Aunt Bea was a joy to be around. She kept you laughing and when her and her sister Harriet, known as “Twincy Wincy”, were together you laughed so hard that your stomach would hurt.

Sis. Bea had two long time dear friends in addition to her blood relatives that she considered her sisters: Mrs. Doretha Carney and Elsie Esperanza. It is an understatement that she will be sorely missed. However, our Lord and Savior had other plans and was ready for her to come home.
