Marvin Howell

06-13-1962 - 06-22-2025

Biography: Marvin Howell was born on June 13, 1962, the proud son of LoAnn Howell. Marvin was her second son but the fourth child overall. He had great insight and enjoyed his place in the family. He balanced his life by enjoying the comfort of having older and younger siblings. He did things his way.

Marvin enjoyed being double-jointed because it was unique. Once he learned how flexible he was, it enhanced his ability to perform difficult acrobatic tricks. He made them look seamless. He would go to local parks and create a recreational center from police barricades, garbage cans, and other objects. He would put on a show for anyone in the park to observe. His shows were amazing, and he left pleased and overwhelmed with joy.

Marvin attended the NYC public school system in the 70’s where the system was unequal. This is when he decided to sort out other forms of academia. He chose other endeavors.

He was an avid reader, loved Donald Goines’s Books, and loved watching basketball, the New York Knicks and the Liberty. He was a fanatic; he bled orange and blue and could converse about any topic on behalf of these teams.

He was a wonderful father who left many children and grandchildren behind. Angel, Troy, Marvin Jr., Myriah, Mona Louise, Nicole, Shakira, Tawana, Imani, Dishawn, Willie, and Rymi.

He was proceeded in death by his mother, LoAnn Howell, and four siblings, Angela, Teen, Kathy Ann and Jeffery. He leaves to mourn, Emmanuel, Yetta, Deborah and Candy and many family and friends.

Psalm 91:1-2 & 14 (KJV)

“He that dwelth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the almighty. I will say of the Lord. He is my refuse and my fortress, God: in him will I trust. Because he hath set his love upon me therefore will I deliver him. I will set him on high because he hath known my name.”
