Biography: Darnell “Mack” Stephenson was born on March 17, 1969, in Brooklyn, New York, to Doris Stephenson and Charles Garcia Stephenson. He departed this life on September 10, 2026, in the Bronx, New York, at the age of 57.

Darnell was a one-of-a-kind person who lived life on his own terms. He was never afraid to speak his mind and always let you know exactly how he felt. Behind that strong personality was a man with a big heart and a deep love for his family.

Darnell had a tremendous passion for sports and was a proud New York sports fan. He especially excelled in boxing, where he was an exceptional fighter and never lost a fight. His determination, strength, and competitive spirit were qualities that stayed with him throughout his life.

To those who knew him, Darnell was much more than a sports fan or a boxer. He was a son, brother, father, grandfather, and friend. Family meant everything to him, and the love he had for them was evident in the way he carried himself and the memories he created.

He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved mother, Doris Stephenson; his brothers, Malik Stephenson and Sincere Stephenson; his children, Darnell Smalls, Jarell Stephenson, and Lynell Smalls; and his grandchildren, Darnell Smalls Jr., Amir Garcia, Essence Garcia, and Ariana Garcia.
