Biography: Dwayne Tyrone Morgan was born on April 24, 1960, in Brooklyn, New York, to the late Mary White and Flija Morgan. Dwayne departed this life on September 13, 2026, in Yonkers, New York.
Dwayne was educated in the New York City public school system and graduated from high school before continuing his education in culinary school. His love for cooking became more than a passion—it became an important part of his life and career.
Dwayne went on to build a career in the hospitality industry, working for the Marriott Corporation and in hospitality until his retirement. Throughout the years, his culinary talents brought him great joy. He loved to cook and enjoyed preparing food for the people around him.
In addition to his love of cooking, Dwayne had a great appreciation for music. Music was something he truly enjoyed and remained a special part of his life.
Dwayne leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Dolores Grace Morgan; his children, Tariq A. Morgan, Kaheem Evans, and Cherrelle Hall; his beloved grandchildren, Nalani Morgan and Mercedes Evans; his sister, Ruby Johnson; his nephew, Glen Morgan; his niece, Stacy Johnson; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary White and Flija Morgan; his sister, Jeannette Rollerson; and his lifelong friend, Glendora Geddis Ravens.
Dwayne will be remembered for his love of family, his passion for cooking, his appreciation of music, and the many memories he created with those whose lives he touched.
Though his earthly journey has ended, the love, laughter, meals, music, and memories Dwayne shared will remain in the hearts of his family and friends forever.
