Biography: Catherine Rivers was born in Sumter, South Carolina to the proud parents Thomas and Rebecca Colclough on October 13, 1931. She was the youngest of eight children.
Catherine attended elementary school in Sumter, South Carolina. She moved to New York at an early age, settling in the Bronx where she graduated. Catherine was able to obtain employment in New York City as a home attendant.
She met and married Clarence Rivers in Sumter, South Carolina and one child was born to this union. Catherine enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She liked to cook, listen to music and dance.
Catherine touched many lives and will be missed. She leaves to mourn her passing: her children: Jimmy, Ronald and Jacqueline; her grandchildren: Shazon, Tamar, Toika, Christopher, Lavon, Caprice, Eric, Jason, Nelissa, Florence, Tyler and Madison; her great-grandchildren: Sandra, JAsia, Dashaun, Tamar Jr., Trianni, Gilberto, Zayquan, Treasure, Kennedi, Javian, and Jayla; her great-greatgrandchildren: Tyvon, Khalil, Omari and Fayelyn.
