Biography: Katie Mae Guiles was born in Georgetown, South Carolina on September 22, 1934. She was the daughter of the late Henry Sargent and the late Josephine Sargent. She departed this life on December 16, 2018. She graduated from Howard High School in 1947.
Kate was united in holy matrimony to the late George Guiles Sr. and from this union they had four children: John Guiles, George Guiles, the late Tyrone Guiles and the late Edith Guiles.
Katie served on the usher board at First Glorious Church. She also had a beautiful singing voice and sang on the church choir.
She was preceded in death by her brothers: Thomas Sargent, Albert Sargent and Josh Sargent.
