Biography: Queen Esther Butler was born in New York City to the proud parents of Sinclair Cokley and Rosa Lee Brower on October 10, 1944. She is survived by her brother Frankie Cokley and Francine Brower. She graduated from Central Commercial High School in 1961.
She met Thomas S. Butler which later resulted in their nuptials on November 15, 1962. Three children came from this union. Their names were Cynthia Paulette Butler, Thomas Stanley Butler Jr. and Christopher Randolph Butler whom preceded her in death. She fostered and later adopted two girls: Kyeana and Tatyana Butler.
 
Queen E. Butler obtained employment as a postal worker where she retired after twenty-two years of service. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, bowling and watching football.
 
Queen Ester Butler touched many lives and will truly be missed. She leaves to mourn her passing: her husband, Thomas S. Butler; two children, Cynthia Butler and Thomas Butler; six grandchildren, one brother, one sister, cousins, other relatives and beloved friends.
