Biography: McKee Sylvester Hodges affectionately known as Bubba, 61, passed on March 1, 2019 at Metropolitan Hospital in NYC.   Sylvester was born on November 3, 1956 to his loving parents McKee and Marie Hodges.
 
In 1973, Sylvester graduated from a vocational high school in New York.  He worked in facilities for 20 years at Rupport   Towers. For many years, Sylvester served as a dedicated       volunteer at Metropolitan Hospital. He was a faithful member of LaGree Baptist Church, NYC- where his parents served as loyal, active members.
 
Sylvester had a tremendous love for helping others with a  steadfast infectious smile and spirit that would light up any room. Although, he did not have any children. Sylvester loved his nieces and nephews dearly. 
 
He is preceded in death by: his father and sister Betty Jean   Gittens. His memory will be cherished in the lives of his        siblings: Marcella (Spencer) Robinson, Brenda (Lonnie)    Hodges, Denise Hodges, Francine “Tasha” Hodges, Denise “Boobee” Hodges; living uncle, Sam (Louise) Henderson Jr.; seven nieces, four nephews, two great-nieces, two great-nephews and a host of other family and friends.
