Biography: Ronald Samuel Brown, 88, of Manhattan, New York, passed away Tuesday, January 7, 2020 peacefully at Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York City.
Ronald was born January 7, 1932 in New York City to Ida and Samuel Brown. He graduated from DeWitt Clinton High School in Bronx, New York in 1950.
He was employed as a dispatcher for the New York City Police Department for several years. In later years, he became a Mass Transit Authority bus driver for the City of New York for over 30 years until his retirement in 1997.
After retirement, Ronald enjoyed visiting his son’s families and grandchildren. He loved taking pictures of friends and family at every opportunity. Ronald also loved watching sports where he was an avid Yankees fan.
He was a devoted father, husband, grandfather and friend to many people. Ronald is survived by his wife "Vicky" of 62 years, sons Wayne Brown and Derek Brown and his wife Karen Brown. Grandchildren Justin, Troy, Andre, Jayson and Lauryn. Great grandchildren Troy Brown Jr. and Aviana Brown as well as a host of family and friends.
