Biography:
Richard Maurice Hall Jr., affectionately called “Richie Rich” and “Taz”, who was 27 years old and from Harlem, New York, passed away on January 1, 2020.
 
Rich was born in Harlem Hospital on May 23, 1992 to  Charisse Gilliard and Richard Hall. He attended high school at Manhattan Center for Science and Mathematics where he received his high school diploma. Rich was employed by the United Parcel Service for a few years as a package handler. He also just received OSHA 30 and many other certifications to lead into the construction business. He was on the road to a brighter beginning.
 
Rich grew up in 8 West 118th Street with his mother and two sisters Tashawna and Treasure. Everyone in the building knew him and loved him, from the kids to the elderly people. He was one of a kind; to know him was to love him. Rich was a smart kid with so much ambition. Growing up on 118th Street he attended the Children’s Aid Society Milbank Center during his childhood. He was involved in many activities such as: Hoop Brother Mentoring Program and Inhouse Basketball. He not only had game with the ladies, but on the basketball court too. He averaged big numbers in many basketball tournaments.
 
Rich was full of life. He enjoyed time with family and friends, laughing and joking, playing chess, dancing and just enjoying life.
 
Rich was truly blessed and loved. He was so warm-hearted and genuinely a good guy who touched more lives than one could imagine. He will be truly missed and never forgotten.
 
Rich was preceded in death by: his grandmother Ideller Gilliard; uncles: Ronnie Slu, Darryl Pepsi, Shawn Hall and Darnell Hall; cousin, Darryl Austin.
 
Rich is survived by his: mother, Charisse Gilliard; father, Richard Hall; sisters: Tashawna Sadler, Treasure Carter, Richea and Summer; brothers: Rashard and Zahir; stepsisters: Jawana, Jalessa, Ebony. Khristina and Chasity; stepbrother: Kaliek; niece Tyjinae Frasier; nephews: Sha’King Frasier and Jahir Frasier; step-niece: Maya; step-nephews: Jaylen, Hudson and Princeton; many aunts and uncles, along with a host of family and friends.
