Biography: Mrs. Seplin A. Duncan affectionately called Handsome, was born on November 21, 1954 in Kingston Jamaica. Seplin was the second of twin girls, born to Ephraim Darby and Mehala Nembhard. Seplin was educated at Denham Town Secondary School, she grew up in a loving home with 4 sisters Beverly (Merl), Cynthia (Blessed), Amanda (Mama Jul), Sharon (Chunne).  
 
Seplin lived in Kingston where she met the love of her life, her soul mate Clyde Duncan (Romey).  Handsome and Romey were married and had six children Bridgette, Clyde Jr., Kevin, Courtney, Latoya and Iesha, and inherited daughter Irena after the death of her twin sister Blessed.  The couple was young but loved each other through the ups and downs the good and the bad. They understood love and accepted each other there was no ego in their relationship. They had a 49 years love story that was broken by death.
 
Seplin migrated to the United States with her four children to join her husband Clyde in 1986.  She was primarily a housewife, but she worked a few small jobs, her longest employment was as an aircraft cleaner when her husband was no longer around to take care of her financially.
 
Seplin was loved by all who knew her and she loved almost everyone. She was real, she was kind and loving. She helped others even when it would cause her hardship. Her home was always open to anyone that needed a place to stay. Seplin never turned anyone away.  She loved to cook and often cooked in huge community pots; you could always stop by for a meal.  Her oxtails, soup and stew peas were legendary. 
 
Seplin loved baseball, namely the New York Yankees, Derek Jeter was her favorite player.  She was such a huge fan she collected anything Yankees, her Christmas tree was a Yankee tree, blue, white and silver with Yankees collectable ornaments of her favorite players.  Handsome collected Yankee shirts, coins, articles, and everything Yankees. Changing her television while she watched her game will get you on her wrong side.  She also liked to watch Violetta, Psych, she would watch these over and over again and she would tell you about the episode that she is watching a thousand times over… you didn’t have to watch it to know what happened or who the characters were, She loved her television.
 
Seplin was a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt she was loved by all…. she supported her children and family; she was always available as a listening ear, she never imposed her will or judgment on anyone. Her home was a second home and a get away for many. 
 
Seplin was called home to be with the Lord on December 18, 2019 at 2:14 a.m. from cardiac arrest.
 
Seplin was preceded in death by her twin sister Cynthia (Blessed).  Seplin is survived by her husband Clyde, her children Bridgette, Clyde Jr., Kevin, Courtney, Latoya, Iesha and Irena… Her sisters Beverly, Amanda, Sharon, paternal sisters Elizabeth, and Dionne… 15 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, many nieces’ nephews and a host of other relatives, and friends.
