Biography: Charles Henry Farrison was born in Brooklyn, New York on March 19, 1941 to Elizabeth Murphy and Alanzo Farrison. He met and married Virginia Brown on August 2, 1966; from this union he had six children: three boys and three girls.
He worked as a supervisor of custodial maintenance at Hostos Community College. He was an advocate for living a healthy lifestyle. He exercised daily, spending lots of time at the track and participated in running marathons multiple times a year.
Brother Charles joined Thessalonia Worship Center in 1995. He was a faithful member of the T.I.R. and served on the Leadership Breakfast Committee for several years. He found great joy in the music ministry, singing with the male chorus. He loved helping people, often had an encouraging word and a great love for his family.
He leaves to cherish his memory his: loving wife, Virginia; children: Harriette, Eric Sr. (daughter-in-law Auldra), Pamela (son-in-law Robert), Kevin, Charles Jr. and Tanyelle; one brother, Lonnie Farrison; one sister, Ludine Farrison; nine grandchildren: Charmaine, Dominiqua, Jameal, Eric Jr., Angeliqua, Marcus, Shaneisha, Elaisha and Keyona; four great-grandchildren: Mason, Noah, Aiden and Rhylee; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
