Biography: Miguel Angel Rivera, Jr., also known as Papo, was born in New York City on February 6, 1956 to Miguel Angel Rivera, Sr., and Patricia Mejias.  He was the second of seven children.
 
Papo attended school in New York City.  He worked as a Porter in apartment buildings until he got sick and could not work any longer.
 
Papo enjoyed spending time outside.  You could find him sitting on the bleachers on 5th Avenue with friends or by himself.
 
Papo was very helpful.  He would go to the store for his neighbors, help with anything if needed.  He was a dog lover.
 
Papo touched many lives and will be missed.  He is no longer suffering.  He left to join his mother, brother and sister.
 
Papo leaves to cherish his memories: sisters, Doris Johnson, Virginia Rivera, and Nilda Ruiz; brother, Jose Rivera; one brother-in-law, one sister-in-law, many nieces, nephews and friends.
