Biography: Anthony Butler was born to his parents Roland Butler and Lucille Martin at Harlem Hospital January 12, 1962.
He graduated from Martin Luther King Jr. High School and went to college for two years.
Since birth Anthony was very active. He couldn’t keep still always had a ball in his hand. Bouncing or throwing it against the wall. Anthony once picked up a pumpkin and thought it was a basketball. That’s where the nickname started.
Pumpkin grew up a New York Knicks fan. He played on numerous basketball teams. He had the skills and trophies to show it.
Anthony leaves behind to mourn: two daughters Tiffany and Keisha; one son Anthony; his mother Lucille; his spouse Regina; Sister Josephine; nephews Mark and Terrance; grand nephews Terrell and Terrence; grand nieces Nytaisa and Madison, three step sons Solomon, Kadeem and Moses and a host of cousins and friends.
