Biography: Sarah Jane Daley was born on the Island of Montserrat, West Indies on December 4, 1931 to William Dyer and Catherine Daley.
She was an excellent mother to her children. She gave them encouragement and tough love when needed. Sarah was a strong minded individual. She seldom smiled, but when she did it was heartwarming. Despite her tough exterior, she had a heart of gold.
In 1970, Sarah migrated to the United States in search of a better life for her and her children. She acquired a housekeeping position in the 1199 Hospital and Hotel Union at the Prince George Hotel. She was a very hard working and dedicated to her job.
Upon retirement, she enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed watching television. Her favorite show was the Golden Girls.
Sarah will be missed dearly by those who knew her best. She was preceded by he sister Cissy Harris; brothers William and George Daley; son Clifford Daley, daughter Theresa Daley;
She is survived by sisters Margaret Carty; Helen Kentish; brother Benjamin Daley; sons Franklin Dyer, Cyril Daley, Collin Daley( wife Phanuel); grandchildren Franklin Jr., Andrea Dyer, Clyde Daley, Christina Daley, Tyrone Daley, Teneisha Honore, Shernelle Tyson; great-grand children Tonayia and Lafaye Dyer, Mckenie and Jaxson Honore; nieces and nephews and many more family members too numerous to mention.
