Biography: Trustee Dr. Gary E. Coleman departed his earthy life on Wednesday, August 26, 2020 after a long personal and private health battle. He was fully dedicated to serving God and his community.
Gary was born on March 31, 1952 in Queens, NY. He was the son of Ida E. Coleman and the late Clarence Coleman.

The talents he cultivated that lead to his 1985 induction into the Who's Who Among Students in American Colleges/Universities enabled Gary to serve as Vice President of the Leader's Council, President of the Male Chorus, Canaan's Man of the Year and a certified health advisor for the M.I.C.A.H Project HEAL (Health through Early Awareness and Learning).
Gary's desire to use knowledge as a tool of empowerment inspired him to create and direct the GED Program at Exponents Inc. from 2013 to 2017 and continue providing tools for academic success as an adult educator.
