Paris Emanuel was born in the Bronx, NY in the early morning hours of Thursday May 31st, 1990 to La’Shawn Black at Albert Einstein Hospital a whopping 9.5lbs and 22 inches long.
Paris started his academic career at the Labor Sherman Day Care Center in the Bronx NY (ironically this was the same day care that his mother La’Shawn attended as a child) As a young boy Paris was made sure to be kept busy by his parents with various afterschool programs, summer camps, sleep away camps and organized sports teams; such as playing both baseball and basketball for SCAN Mullaly and football as a team member of The Abyssinia youth football league. For a short time Paris and his little brother Justin even took piano lessons.
He graduated from Harlem’s own Wadleigh Secondary School in 2009, it was there that Paris established friendships with a group of brothers and sisters that he remained close to until his passing.
Paris was a beautiful baby boy who exhibited a big kind and loving heart from the time he was born, that big kind loving heart remained a part of his persona for the duration of his short life. This kind and loving heart that Paris possessed was also the reason that he worked the jobs that he did. His first job was with Urban Dove which too was the afterschool program he attended; there he held the position of an after-school assistant and sleep away summer camp counselor. He loved working with children in all capacity’s and throughout his employment he has worked as a Youth Care Specialist, Youth Basketball Coach, and an After-School Counselor. With his final places of employment being a Day Habilitation Aide for LifeSpire and the middle school Youth Basketball Coach for University Prep.
Paris was a diehard sports enthusiast and he loved basketball in particular; he also had the uncanny ability to provide you with the sports stats of any current or former player of Basketball/Football/or Baseball.
Paris was a respectful and hardworking young man that loved and cherished his Son (Baby Paris) his family and friends and would always be sure address persons and/or family with a Mr. or Ms. or Cousin or Auntie or Uncle. He very rarely just called any adult by just their first name.
Paris is proceeded in death by his Poppa Sherman and his Grandma “Baby” and his Grandma Sydney.
Paris leaves to cherish his memory and forever honor his life his devoted Mother La’Shawn Black-Ferguson and his Father Derrick Ferguson, his forever love and partner for the last 5 years Brielle Wilson, his world and his namesake his Son Paris Emanuel Hayes Jr. (his doodoo head), his protector and little “big” Brother Justin Hayes and his confidant and Buddy his Little sister Daliegha Ferguson, his favorite and only niece Denim, his Godbrother Kristian Jackson, his Step Grandmother Charlene Black, his Aunts and Uncles Tricia Brown (Uncle Carl) Serina Black-Bogle (Uncle E), Kimberley Terry (Uncle Rhone) Monique Wilson, Keisha Green, Asia Harris and his Uncle Sherman Black II His great Aunts and Uncles Rosemarie Haskett, Leroy Wilson (Aunt Annette), Annette Wilson Walker, Johnathan Wilson ( Aunt Tina), Herbert Wilson. His Great, Great Uncle George Black (Aunt Vergie) His cousin brothers Trae, Skylar, JaQuan, and Lil Barry. A host of cousins and other relatives that he loved immensely and friends that he considered family and his AK brothers (WingBoys) and sisters.
