Biography: Joseph Elliott Sr. (Bill) was born November 14, 1942 in Portsmouth Virginia to the late Eolia Elliott and Joseph Elliott Sr. Joseph (Bill) was the fourth child and first male of 4 boys and 8 girls, a total of 12 children. All memorable childhood experiences highlight Bill and his fascination with electronics. Whatever Bill did not have as a toy, he would attempt to build it, often resulting in destroying most items. Bill wanted to fix items that were not even broken attempting to make it better. Somehow, that trait carried over into adulthood. At the age of 12, Bill relocated to Bronx, New York with his mother and siblings where he continued his education. 
 
Bill met and married the late Olga Oliver in January 1962 and three children were born out of their union.  The Unites States Postal Service employed Bill in the early 1960s. He later moved on to becoming a Maintenance Supervisor at New York Presbyterian Hospital where is retired.  Bill later met his late wife Georgia, whom he loved, cherished, and was married to at the time of her passing in 2015.   Bill was a funny man.  He would often tell jokes in the effort of making someone else feel better.  He had a very charismatic way about him and was loved by many. 
 
Joseph leaves the following to mourn and cherish his memory: Joyce Hite (sister);  three children Olga Denise Elliott, Joseph Elliott III, and Christopher Elliott; Fernando (Stepson); Seven grandchildren Jamarr, JoJo, Shaniqua, Antwon, Christopher Jr., Shiayanne, and Danielle; Seven great- grandchildren Ziar, Titiana, Donald, Jamarr Jr., Gabrielle, and Jordan; his partner Yvette Jackson, a host of nieces, nephew, family, and friends.  All who knew him will miss Joseph (Bill).
