Biography: Sallie Mae Jenkins Harrison daughter of the Late Rev. John Jenkins and Izola Brothers Jenkins was born on February 06, 1928 in
Dorchester County. She eternal on December 2, 2020 at her resident.
Sallie joined Jerusalem Baptist Church at and earlier age where she served as a Deaconess, Missionary, Sunday School Teacher, Pastor Aid Board and sang on several Choirs. She was educated in the public schools of Dorchester County. Sallie retired from ITT Conflow in St. George, South Carolina. After retirements she loved baking cakes for the community. She was a long outstanding member of White Oak Chapter 37 of the Eastern Stars.
Sallie was joined in holy matrimony with Samuel Harrison on June 3, 1946. This union was blessed with four children. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Deacon Samuel Harrison and her daughter Brenda Carol Jenkins.
She leaves to cherish her fond memories: three sons, Gregory (Lavern) Harrison of Brooklyn, NY, Robert (Ernestine) Harrison Sr. of Jersey City, NJ and Ronald (Laradine) Harrison of Ridgeway, SC; one son in law, Willie James Jenkins of St. George, SC; three sisters, Thelma Harper and Bernice Davis of Summerville, SC and Fannie Baker of St. George, SC, One brother, Joseph Jenkins of Columbia, SC.; nine grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, six great great Grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
