Biography: Mr. Sephis Dingle was born to Susan and Samuel Dingle Jr. on August 14, 1933 in the county of Orangeburg, South Carolina. Sephis was called from the labor here on earth to the Lord’s Kingdom on February 4, 2021 at
Jacobi Medical Center Bronx, New York.
As a young man, Sephis Dingle migrated to New York City in search of employment opportunities he made and made the state his adopted hometown to date. In the early sixties while running between employments interviews, he meets Elease Smith at the 165th Street Bus Terminal in Jamaica, Queens which they made a life together until her passing in 2009.
Sephis was employed by Aurora Products Incorporated a major toy manufacturer as a toy assembler and would move up to Assembly Foreman. After the closing of Aurora Products Incorporated, he immediately landed temporary employment with Mc Clean Cleaning Services until the opportunity of permanent employment at Tri-Maintenance Corporation at St. John’s University. At Tri-Maintenance Corporation he was awarded employee of the month and would go on to become the Local 32BJ Union Representative for his fellow employees until his retirement.
In passing, Sephis had on brother Perlee Dingle who preceded in death in 1975. Those who are surviving and celebrating his homegoing includes daughter: Tracy Dingle Glover St. Albans, New York, Son Kennes Dingle of St. Albans, New York, Grand-Daughter Melanie Bennett of St. Louis Missouri.
Sephis also leaves behinds grandchildren along with a host nieces, nephews and cousins and friends in South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, New York including those at his childhood church St. Stephen Baptist Church in South Carolina.
