Biography: Audrey Patricia Morris aka “Pumpkin” was born in Harlem Hospital Center, Harlem New York on March 31, 1967. Born to Bobbie Jean Campbell and the late Andrew Hamilton Morris Jr. (2012). Audrey was the first grandchild and niece to the Morris family. She was raised in the Bronx, New York until the age of 12 and then moved to the Polo Ground Towers in Harlem. Audrey attended IS 10 (The Dime) and Martin Luther King High School in NYC where she played the clarinet in the school’s band. She graduated from Drake Institute of Technology where she received her Associate Degree and completed one year internship as a nursing assistant.
Audrey’s presence could light up any room. Her personality took over like a tornado. There was no way you couldn’t love her, even if she made someone mad. Audrey was outgoing and energetic with the most infectious smile. Her substance could make you feel comfortable and safe. After just one conversation she would captivate and rejuvenate your spirit. Audrey was someone you can call at any moment for advice to help heal your spirit or tell a joke. She made sure she lived and enjoyed her best life with her family and friends. Audrey loved to travel and spend time with her closest friends and family, whether it was here in the City, Yonkers, Virginia, and South Carolina; those times brought enjoyment to her life. She always made sure she stayed connected to her aunts, uncles, and cousins. She had lifelong friendships with people who she called her brothers and sisters. She loved being the older sibling which she bugged from time to time. She truly cherished and loved her Mother with every ounce of her being, calling her every morning to talk. Audrey was a devoted Daughter, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, and Aunt which gave her purpose in life.
Audrey Patricia Morris departed this earthly life on March 9, 2021. She is survived by her Mother, Bobbie Jean Campbell (stepfather Douglas Campbell); Three loving children; Sabrina, Asia, and Shiheem, One Grandchild; Jordan, Two Siblings: Andrew and Angela, One Niece: Victoria, two Great Nephews: Khali and Delon, Four God Children, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends.
