Biography: On June 16, 2021, God saw fit to call to eternal rest Sandra (Sandee) McGill at Harlem Hospital in New York City. Sandee, "Pat" as she was affectionately known, was born on September 12, 1955 at Harlem Hospital in New York City.
Sandee graduated from Julia Richman High School in Manhattan. Upon graduating she attended Ophelia DeVore Modeling and Charm School which was a major turning point in her life - first as a student of the school participating in shows and later as an employee. Sandee was inspired by and loved the Modeling Profession and as a result, devoted many many years of her life to managing and sponsoring various events within the Modeling Community.
In the early nineties she began working at Charand Associates LLC in Manhattan as an assistant to Management which involved helping to manage the staff and addressing building related matters where she remained a devoted employee until her death.
Early in life Sandee developed a love for knitting /crocheting which she mastered throughout the years. As her skills developed we started to recognize those entrepreneurial tendencies that ultimately enabled Sandee to start her own business known as "Sapphire By Sandee". At the onset , she would favor family and friends with hat and scarf sets made with lots of love for holidays and birthdays. She later became so renowned that she would attend conventions and exhibits and secured her own booth at the Javits Center in New York City. Always a “Go Getter”.
Sandee (Pat) will always be loved and remembered for her amazing personality, spirit and incredible work ethic.Preceding her in death is her beloved Juanita McGill Dow (Mother), Earline Veronica Dow (Sister) and Wayne Eric Dow (Brother). Sandee leaves to forever cherish her loving memory three sisters, Almetta McGill-Johnson (Rick); Jacqueline Bazemore ( Mike); Diane Dow and one brother, Alvin Dow; Nieces-Tiffany McDaniel, Shauda Juanita Dow and Nyema Princess Dow Nephews-Marc McGill, Antione Graham, Jacquel Dow, Jamel Brooks, Darius Dow & Alvin Taj Dow; along with three Aunts / two Uncles Pearl & Hogan McGill; Rosa McGill, Alberteen Wilson, and William McGill,; and a host of Cousins and Friends. Sandee was loved and nurtured by all.
To our Loving Sandee you are Loved and will Forever be in our hearts. We are so grateful to have had you in our lives – So today and days to come WE celebrate you, our memories and all that you mean to us – May you rest in heavenly peace in the arms of our Lord Saviour until we meet again……
