Biography: Velma Cromer, beloved mother and wife died Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at Mount Sinai Hospital. She was 56 years old.
Known to all that loved her as “Nina”. Velma was born Velma Denise Cromer in 1965 in Brooklyn, New York, to parents Alexander Cromer and Ola Cromer. Velma loved reading, listening to music, exploring NYC historical sites and talking to friends on the phone. Velma loved children and was looking forward to opening up her own daycare center.
While working at Alexanders DEPT store in 1985, she met her beloved Ronald Bell, who she loved dearly. They remained together for over 30 years.
Velma was preceded in death by parents Alexander Cromer and Ola Cromer and sisters Francince and Valencia Cromer. Velma is survived by Ronald Bell, her two children Jasmine Stevens and Waverly Bell, four grandchildren along with four siblings Alexander Cromer, Jr., Vincent Cromer, Katerah Cromer and Curtis Cromer and a host of nieces, nephews, and dear family members.
Velma passed on with her loving brother holding her hand.
