Biography: Malik Syreese McPhee was born at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City on September 11, 1999 to parents Michael and Doretha McPhee. Malik was a beautiful and gifted baby. He was able to stand and walk earlier than most babies.
Malik attended New York City Public School 92, IS 144 and A. Phillip Randolph High School. His personality was as gentle as a teddy bear. He loved telling stories and singing. Malik had an old soul. He loved music, especially Luther Vandross and Marvin Sease’s “Please take me, when you call on me”.
Malik was a Harlem Youth Marine Cadet at the 369th Harlem Armory under the mentorship of Col. Gregory Collins. They did something positive for the youth and supported their members.
Malik loved his Grandmother Mary McPhee Brown’s steamed fish with red rice and broccoli. Malik leaves behind: one sister Precious; two brothers: Michael Jr. and his best friend/roommate and baby brother Malcolm Jamal McPhee; his mother Doretha McPhee with a broken heart and his father Michael Sr.
