Biography:
Nathaniel Warren, son of the late Daniel Owens and the late Nancy Warren was born on September 24, 1926, in Elloree, South Carolina.
Nathaniel Warren grew up in the small community of Elloree, South Carolina where he received his education in the Elloree public school system.
Nathaniel Warren was a United States Army Veteran. After faithful military service, he was employed as a construction worker for 25 years. He also worked at the Salvation Army and Bulova Watch Company for many years. Capstoning his extensive occupational career, was the security guard position he held at Canaan Housing.
Nathaniel Warren was a member of Greater Emmanuel Baptist Church where he served faithfully as a Deacon and a member of the Benchwarmers Ministry. Deacon Warren had a servant's heart and he devoted his life to serving his family, church and community.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Charles Warren, step daughter, Glenda Tart, Siblings: Brothers-Willie, Ezekial, Dave, Wilbur, Donthea, Arthur, Issac and Adolphus, and Sisters-Janie and Eliza.
He transitioned from earth to heaven on Thursday, September 2, 2021, at Mount Sinai Hospital in Manhattan, New York. He had a strong faith in God.
He leaves to cherish fond memories: Helen Brown; his children: Billy Huggins (Leila), of Orangeburg, South Carolina, Jerry “Mike” Warren, of New York, New York, Barbara Wiley (Richard) of North Pole, Alaska, Mary (Warren) Spencer of Bronx, New York; step children: Josephine Greene, John Brown of New York, New York, Phillip Brown of Elloree, South Carolina and grandchildren: Tonya Vann (Keith), Lakisha Huggins, Christopher Tart, Courtney Wiley, Ciera Hatcher (Allen); four great grandchildren, and a hosts of sister-in laws, brother-in laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who loved him dearly.
