It is with profound sadness and broken hearts to announce the passing of Jakeema L. Forbes. Jakeema made the transition on November 24, 2021 at Montefiore Hospital in the Bronx at the tender age of 38.
Jakeema was born on February 28, 1983 to the late Richard Frazer and the late Linda Forbes. Jakeema attended Morris High School in the Bronx and went on to gain employment as a Home Health Care Attendant for several years.
Keema was a soul that was full of spirit. She was known for her generosity and kindness. She believed in helping people at any cost. Keema had a smile that would definitely light up anyone’s day. She had a heart made of gold and was loved by many.
Jakeema leaves behind her legacy: three children: Jasiah, Jaheem and Blessyn; father, Raheem Blake; one stepson, Raheem Logan; the George Children, Travis, Payne, Deeshaw and Promise; Four sisters for life: Cassandra Cole, Sherese Adams, Tyesha Saunders and Ryan Lipcombs; two brothers: Joseph Forbes and Christopher Carter.
She also leaves to mourn: one Godmother, Frances Patterson; two Godfathers: Allen Steven and Delbert Singleton; one Godsister, Tawana Saunders; nine Godchildren: Jayoree, Jamorie, Zaniyah, Jabori, Kamiya, Dior, Naisis and Troy; and a host of aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins
