Joel Muldrow was born to the late Mrs. Alice Muldrow Gillespie, July 27, 1933, in Lamar, SC. He departed this life, November 15, 2021, Bronx, New York. Joel attended schools in South Carolina and New York.
He was married to Esther Mae Johnson Muldrow. Joe served his country in the United States Army and received an honorable discharge.
Joe lived a long, full life, doing things that he loved – dancing and having fun with family and friends, despite his life challenges. Joe was baptized into the Body of Christ at the Goodwill Baptist Church of Bronx, New York, November 30, 1979, and there he studied, served as an usher, drove the church’s van, and attended services for the Laymen Department. Joe worked as a construction worker and steel truck driver. He was always available when called upon, helpful and respectful in all his actions.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife Esther Muldrow, daughters Gloria Bailey (Robert), Selena Muldrow (Tyrone Swinson), Yvette Muldrow, Patricia Muldrow Dorsett. Grandchildren: Adrienne D. Jackson (James), Edward Saddler, James Muldrow (Tierra), Quincy Dorsett, Aliyah Dorsett. Great grandchildren: James O. Jackson III, Adrienne Jackson, Kaiden Muldrow, Kimaya Muldrow, Kai Muldrow, Kingston Muldrow. Brothers in law: Samuel (Lillian) Johnson, Leroy Johnson. Sisters in law: Pernell Johnson, Dorothy (Johnny) Matthews, Jessie (Keith) Younge, Bessie (James) Oliver, Theresa (Sammie) Payne, Carolyn Fisher, Alfredia Johnson. Special cousin, Willa Mae Williams and a host of family and friends.
