Biography:
Our beloved Maria Gamble was born to the late Elisie Bell Yarbrough & the late Saxon Wilson Gamble on November 30, 1951 in New York, NY at Metropolitan hospital. She was one of ten children. Maria departed this life on December 23, 2021 at the age of 70.
Maria Gamble was a devoted single parent rising three children: Sam, Samantha and Renee. Despite some hardship Maria always made sure her children were safe and loved. She did what she had to do with what she had even if that meant sacrificing her own needs. She often opens her doors to family and friend in need. She had a heart of gold with her pleasant personality that was contagious to everyone she met.

Before illness PSP (Progressive Supranuclear Palsy) Maria had an uncanny ability to find happiness in her daily actives, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, the community center; there she played cards, board games, watched movies and socializing with friends. Lifetime was one of her favorite TV network, old black movies, Madea collection and family function.
Maria will be missed while we know that she is at peace and that her struggles are at an end, her kind heart, compassion and perseverance will forever live on in our memories. Maria’s children want to thank everyone for coming to celebrate Maria's life.
Maria survived by her: three children: Sam Gamble, Samantha Gamble and Renee Young; six grandchildren: Tamara McCowan, Kimberly Gamble, Tyreek Gamble, Briocha Waring and Autumn Waring; two great-grandchildren: Isiah Desisso and Kai king Burgess: and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
