Biography:
Vanessa Randall, whom many referred to as “Nettie” was born to Marie Randall and Elijah McFarland on December 28, 1968 in Harlem, NY. She was a caring daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her long battle with Breast Cancer showed her courage in facing life challenges with a smile. Despite the pain, Vanessa was a superwoman and stayed strong until the very end. She left this world on the brink of her 53rd birthday, December 28, 2021.
Vanessa was a creative person, by nature - from professional hair styling, to decorative baskets, she was constantly crafting unique items for the whole family. She also loved spending time in the kitchen, creating delicious baked goods for every occasion.
Vanessa’s pleasant personality was contagious to everyone she met and her laugh would light up a room! She touched so many lives and will be missed tremendously. She leaves to cherish her memory one son, Damen; one daughter, Monesha; parents, Marie and Elijah; her fiancé, Jose; one daughter in-law, Sidonia; five beloved grandchildren, DJ, Amir, Daylin, Amari and Ashani; a sister, Sheila; a brother, Norman and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
