Biography:
John Lee Bethea, senior son of mother; Mrs. Blanche L. Bethea and Father; Mr. John Bethea. Mr. John Bethea has a younger brother who resides in the District of Columbia (D.C), Shawn A. Bethea.
John Lee Bethea, Licensed Clinical Social Worker; joined Acacia Housing Network in 2014 as the Director of Social Services at the Stadium Women’s Shelter. Arriving with 10+ years of nonprofit and leadership experience, he employed his behavioral health and quality assurance background. John was promoted to Program Director of Julio’s Place in 2015, then Program Director of Pam’s Place in 2016. In 2021, John was promoted to Program Coordinator for Single Adult Stand-Alone Programs. He provided administrative support to 7 programs and more than 500 employees.
In 1990, John received his bachelor’s degree from New Paltz State University and furthered his commitment to serving his community by earning his MSW from Fordham University School of Social Work and, later, an MBA. John held a clinical license and SIFI certificate where, in addition to his work, he acted as a supervising fieldwork instructor. John was loving, joyful and caring. He put others before himself and always had genuine concern for the welfare of others. He is truly a spirit made for the kingdom of Heaven.
