Charles Edward Eason son of the late Ella Mae Eason (who he adored), was born on July 24, 1953, in Hughes, Arkansas. The Lord called him for everlasting peace on March 18, 2022.
Charles, better known as “Sonny” or “Uncle Sonny” received his education at Theodore Roosevelt High School in the Bronx. Soon after graduation he enlisted in the Army where he served approximately 10 years. He was honorably discharged serving in the rank of Specialist E-4.
Sonny was known and loved by many. His charismatic smile and charm lit up an entire room. Sonny had a pure heart of gold and would do anything for anyone, especially the ones he loved. He had a huge love for family. They were his everything. Sonny enjoyed life. Whenever you encountered him, he was always smiling and ready to tell a joke. He was a true comedian at heart. Laughter was his medicine.
Sonny was preceded in death by his brothers Roscoe, Oscar, Freddie James, Tommy Junior, Irvin and James Kidd as well as his sisters, Bernice, Odessa Lewis, and Dorothy. Sonny loved and cherished the relationships he had with his siblings. I know the angels are dancing because they will be reunited again in heaven.
He leaves to mourn: His wife Dorothy Eason; his ex-wife, Sandrous Eason; three daughters, TaWanda L. Eason-Evans, DeShanda Eason Johnson, and Shanice Eason (whom he loved dearly), 6 grandchildren Jermaine J. Bantum Jr, JayAnah J. Bantum, TrayShawn C. Bantum, Rickiyah R. Evans, Kennedy R. Johnson, and Derion T. Arnold (who were his pride and joy). His stepdaughter Sonya Porter. Two nieces Phyllis Nolan and Keysha Eason, two nephews Marcus Eason and Maurice Eason, ten great nieces and nephews, Rolan Eason, K’Reasha Sylla (Mali), Nicholas McKenith (Tre), Kameira Yajama, Nazier Yajama, Maurice Eason, Marquise Eason, Marcel Eason and Camilla Rogers; and a host of relatives and friends.
