Biography:
In Loving Memory of Ronald Owens
Ronald Owens was born December 10, 1954 in Branchville, South Carolina. Son of the late Clifton and Willie Mae Phillips Owens, he departed this life suddenly at his residence in the city that he loved, Mannheim, Germany on May 11, 2021.
Ronald was a graduate of Branchville High School class of 1973. Soon after graduation he joined the US Army where he served seven years before being honorably discharge.
While in Germany, he met and married his wife, Sara Owens. They were blessed with five children.
Ronald was a member of McBranch Baptist Church where he served in the Sunshine Band. He was employed by the City of Mannheim for almost thirty years until his retirement in 2020.
To know Ronald was to love him. He is survived by: his son, Aaron Owens; his daughters: Sara, Lillie and Hoseanna; five grandchildren; his sisters: Deloris Owens, Delores Ross and Jean Barrack; his brothers: Jethro (Mable) Owens, Paul Ross, Willie N. Ross, Robert (Donna ) Owens, Isaiah (Lillie) Owens and Lynn (Valarie) Owens; sister-in-law: Linda Owens; a multitude of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
