Barbara Teacher Bryant was born on August 11, 1955 in New York City, NY to the late William and Willie Ann Teacher. She was their first born of two children.
Barbara graduated from Mabel Dean Bacon Vocational H.S., pursing a nursing curriculum. Her career started at Harlem Hospital and later moved on to Lincoln Hospital where she retired. Just sitting at home wasn’t enough; she came out of retirement to work at Yankee Stadium.
Barbara was feisty. She enjoyed life, loved to travel and socialize with friends. She was a strong soul with a kind heart, always reaching out to help. Truly, she will be missed.
Mourning Barbara is her sisterhood, Rebecca Martin and Adele Gethers. Along with Robert Ashley Bowles and William Waiters, her Lincoln Hospital family, Yankee Stadium family and a host of special friends that entered her life.
