Joe Prime Sr. was born to parents Jimmy Lee Primes and Lottie Primes, on September 22, 1941 in St. Charles South Carolina. He attended St. Mathis Grade School where he attained his H.S. Diploma. Joe Prime worked as Head of Security at Ithaca Clinic. He was one of their most trusted and reliable employees. It is said by his nieces and nephews that he was good uncle. His Grandchildren say he was a fun and loving grandfather. And His son Joseph will tell you above all he was one of the greatest men / fathers who ever lived.

Joe Prime Sr. passed away May 9, 2022 due to natural causes after his health had been on the decline since October 2021. Just like he dealt with all experiences in life, Joe Prime managed his declining health with strength and grace.

He was preceded in death by: Brothers Robert (deceased), Albert (Ollie) (deceased), George (Emma) (deceased) Sisters: Martha (Henry) (deceased) ,Annie Mae (Henry) (deceased), Margaret (Jessie) (deceased)

He is survived by his brother Bobby (Mary) Darlington South Carolina, Sisters : Easter Primes (William Deceased) and Mary Primes, Son :Joseph Primes Jr (Tishenna), Six Grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews, and last but not least the mother of his Son Deborah Byrd who served as a close friend until he went home to join his best friend Jesus.
