Francis Robinson was born November 10, 1946 in Charleston, South Carolina to Edith and William Robinson. Francis was the fifth oldest out of ten children whose siblings included: Pearl Wilkins, Margie Brightman, Ester Freeman, Sharon Holbert, Annette Robinson, Augusta Robinson, Prince Robinson, Julius Robinson and the late William Robinson.
Francis, better known to everyone as “Moosey”, graduated from Hautgat High School in South Carolina. Later in his career, he worked as a printer until the 9/11 disaster. He also worked other jobs such as carpentry. Heattended New Jerusalem A.M.E. Church in Wadmalaw Island, South Carolina.
Moosey loved to party and have a good time. He also loved to cook especially his rice. He loved watching football as that was his favorite sport. His favorite catch phrase was “one for the road” and he loved his family to the fullest without question.
Francis was preceded in death by: his mother and father, Edith and William Robinson, his son Eugene Turner and his brother William Robinson. Moosey touched many lives and will be missed dearly. He leaves to mourn: his son, Tony Turner, Sr.; his sisters: Pearl Wilkins, Margie Brightman, Ester Freeman, Sharon Holbert and Annette Robinson; his brothers: Augusta Robinson, Prince Robinson and Julius Robinson; grandson: Tony Turner, Jr.,; his stepdaughter, Tina Thompson; daughter-in-law, Marchell Corley; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
