Biography:
Lenette Johnson was born on February 24, 1962 in Brownsville, Brooklyn,New York was the daughter to her late parents Robert and Verna Lee Johnson, and was the last of 8 siblings.
The family moved to Harlem, New York in 1963 after the death of her father. Lenette attended public school through High school. She attended the mosque in Harlem and enjoyed listening to the teachings of Minister Louis Farrakhan. In 2019 she relocated to Brooksville, Florida with her fiancé Al Mullings. Lenette accepted God as her lord and savior and began home bible study with Al. She loved to share spiritual affirmations with her family and friends.
Lenette departed this life on Sunday, July 3, 2022 at the age of 60, in Brooksville Florida. Lenette was incredible, kind, intelligent, funny, compassionate, courageous and resilient.
She was a popular and beloved member of the Johnson family, energetic and awe inspiring to family and friends. she loved to collaborate with senior citizens, and loved to listen to their stories, and advice. She was well liked by them. Lenette loved people and animals especially her cat Tabby who she cared for. She was creative, self employed and worked when she could.
In addition Lynette was preceded in death by her sisters Brenda Polite, Yvonne Johnson, and her brother Reginald (A.K.A.) Reggie Johnson.
Lenette leaves to cherish her memories her only child Takay Matthews, three grandchildren Nazier, Kayonni, Raziah, her sister Georgette Johnson. Brothers Robert D. Johnson, a.k.a.(Bobby), William a.k.a. (Billy), and Bernard Johnson. In addition, her niece Kaleish a.k.a (shenee), Twana, Aiesha and Shemeeka , Ebony, Tiffany, Parys, Jeannie, nephew, Kareem and a host other great nieces and nephews including great great nieces and great- nephews.
Lenette will be missed by all who knew and loved her. May her soul rest in the arms of the Lord.
