Biography: Emest Williams, Jr., son of the late Ernest Williams Senior and Catherine Williams was born on May 8, 1943 in Harlem New York. He departed this life on August 30, 2022 in New York at Mount Sinai Hospital. God called him, and said your earthly duties are done.
Ernest grew up in Harlem New York where he completed his education at Charles Everett Hughes High School. Thereafter, he joined the US Army. He then met Ruth Mitchell and their courtship started. After pursuing a career with the US Postal Service, the couple relocated to Hollis Queens to start their family. His daughter, Neosha Williams was born March 31, 197 4, and his son, Ernest Williams III was born August 20, 1979. After leaving the US Postal Service he began working at the Bronx Psychiatric Center as a Facility Maintainer, retiring after 20 years of service.
Ernest was a strong provider for his family and always willing to help people to the fullest. Ernest loved a good laugh and had a great sense of humor and rolled with the punches of life.
He is survived by his children: Neosha Jones of Fresh Meadows, New York, and son Ernest Williams III of North Carolina, his brother, Joseph Perry of Baltimore, Maryland; his grandchildren: Scott Jones Jr., Ernest Maurice Williams, Elijah Williams, Corey Jones, Eshawn Williams, and a great grandson, Katrelle Williams. Son-in-law, Scott Jones Sr., and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.
