Biography: On this day, we celebrate the Home Going of our beloved Robert, a.ka. Kevin. Robert was born to Charles H. Bost and Janice L. Bost in Harlem, New York Robert was the youngest of five children. He spent his early years growing up in Spanish Harlem. He received his formal education in the New York school system. When he wasn't in school, Robert enjoyed playing ball, riding his bike, and going to swim at Jefferson pool with his siblings and friends. Robert's friends playfully called him 'Yellow Bird" which he hated.
During middle school, his parents moved to the Bronx where he continued his education and grew into a fine young man. Robert started working for a printing company and he worked his way up the ladder to become the Head Pressman. Robert enjoyed his career, although the fumes of the printing machines aggravated his Asthma.
Robert grew up with a large loving family that got together to celebrate every holiday with food, drinks, music, and lots of fun. He especially enjoyed the picnics the family had each year in Central Park during the summer. Robert was very passionate about his family and he always said "I love You!"
Robert met and married his beautiful loving wife, Dedra A. Jefferies on September 17, 2017 in a beautiful breath-taking wedding ceremony. He enjoyed traveling, partying, and just spending alone time with her at home. He also loved spending time with his Children, Grandchildren, Godchild, and his best friends; Lester and Boo. Robert also spent a lot of time with his 114th Street Crew.
Robert departed this life on September 6, 2022 at the age of 56. He was preceded in death by his eldest brother, Roy A. Bost whom he loved dearly.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving soul-his wife Dedra, three sons; Robert Jr., Isaiah, and Rashad, his daughter; Latasia, his mother;Janice, his mother-in-law; Ms. Jefferies. One brother; Gregory, two sisters; Lorraine (Wenford) and Lisa (Aris). Grandson Kobe, Granddaughter Rylani, and Goddaughter Nevaeh, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
