On September 18, 2022 Harvey Jefferson Reaves, Jr. was called to rest his soul. He was born on July 21, 1960 in McRae, Georgia to Harvey Jefferson Reaves (deceased) and Hilda Reaves Storms. Harvey was affectionately called Jeff by his family.
He attended Central Elementary and High School. He lived with his maternal grandparents Matthew and Rosa Lee McRae (deceased) along with cousins Bernard McRae, Barbara Lloyd and Beverly Barber where they grew up like siblings. Jeff attended Sandhill Baptist Church of Scotland, Georgia.
Jeff later moved to New York City with his mother Hilda and siblings: Muriel Reaves Nunes, Orlando Reaves (Octavia) Krystal Reaves Ford (Wilson) and Michelle Reaves where he continued his education and became an electrician. He worked for North Isle Village Inc. of Long Island, New York.
Jeff loved working on cars with his son, riding his motorcycles and visiting family and friends.
Jeff leaves behind to cherish his memory: his one and only son, Kobie Reaves (Bianca), two grandchildren Ezra and Khazumi; his mother Hilda Reaves Storms; four siblings in New York and ten stepsiblings in McRae, Georgia; three favorite aunts: Bernice Starr, Marine Awe and Gayle Jackson (Robert); nieces and nephews: Shaquanda, Shamika, Takeya, Kevin, Jabari, Jr., Tacuma, Nasia, Kwanzaa, Jamal; great-nieces and nephews: Nairobi, Khadijah, Little John, April, Aaron, Jabari Jr.; close cousins Barbara Daye and Kara; a special friend Tanya Weathers; and a host of cousins and close friends.
