Bobby Ann Billy was born April 20, 1957, to Mary Elizabeth Owens Billy and the late Robert Anthony Billy, Sr. in Brooklyn New York. She departed this life on March 10, 2023 She completed her education through the New York City Public School system. BobbyAnn loved to play cards, listen to music, and was an avid reader. During her early years, she loved being with her cousins. They were raised as close as siblings and spent most of their time together enjoying fun-filled holidays, gatherings, and other family events. Everyone who knows BobbyAnn knows that her life eventually took a sudden turn as addiction ravaged her life and caused deep distress to those who loved her. It is not easy to acknowledge these facts. However, we cannot and must not turn a blind eye to how she may have suffered, and struggled greatly trying to navigate this sometimes beautiful, sometimes unpredictable road we call life.
Her time with us was not in vain. She has left her mark on this earth. Her family will remember her laughter and her smiles, even if it's been a while. And they will see evidence of her existence reflected in the eyes of her children and in the eyes of her children’s children.
So, do not let the tendrils of sadness set the tone of today. Let the warmth of a life remembered guide us into a space of reflection, forgiveness, and love.
