Obituary 

Willette “Carmella” Lucas was born in Manhattan, New York to Ruth and Ernest Lucas, Sr. on November 27, 1956. She was the baby of their five children. Carmella attended school in the Bronx, New York and would later attend Columbia University. She would later in life meet Louis “Tony” Roche and their union would last for 28 years until her passing. They had a combined family of four children: Robert, PJ, Erica and Michael. 

Carmella worked many odd jobs during her years of life. She enjoyed family gatherings, shopping and was known for her flashy and unique way of dressing. Carmella was a person that was very outspoken. Carmella was preceded in death by her son, PJ.

Carmella touched many lives and will truly be missed She leaves to mourn: her husband Tony; three children: Robert, Erica and Michael; nine granddaughters, one grandson; one sister Lillian; two brothers, Ernest Jr, and Donald Lucas; three nieces, four nephews, thirty grandnephews and nieces, forty great-grandnephews and nieces, one mother-in-law, two daughters-in-law, two brothers-in-law, two sisters-in-law and one best friend, Patricia Rodgers.
